The new House speaker didn’t just raise big money — he built the digital layer Republicans have struggled to create.

Since Republicans have taken over the General Assembly, House speakers have had their best off-year fundraising years immediately after taking the gavel. House Speaker Destin Hall is no exception — but his fundraising has dwarfed that of his predecessors.

Hall’s office announced earlier this week that he raised $1.2 million in 2025, calling it “the highest 12-month amount raised in an off-year by any member of the North Carolina House in the history of the chamber.”
