I launched Longleaf Politics eight years ago as a love letter to my home state. In a sea of clickbait and noise, I wanted to create something different: a space for thoughtful political journalism.

Since then, I’ve left daily news, run comms for a statewide campaign, and stepped into a new phase of life. Longleaf Politics has evolved right alongside me.

The core mission is still the same, but the format is a little different. It’s not just a newsletter anymore. It’s a platform for pushing smarter government, shrewder politics and a stronger North Carolina.

With the new year, we’re taking the next step. Today, we’re rolling out paid subscriptions to make Longleaf Politics even more valuable to our readers.

The free weekly emails stay. But for those ready to dig deeper, Premium subscriptions unlock the tools and insights you need to make a real impact in North Carolina.

Here’s what you get.

Premium subscribers ($9/month or $99/year)

  • Subscriber-only posts with deep dives, actionable strategie…
