Word on the street is Tillis going to run for Gov. Dale Folwell is also out there as a contender. Hal Weatherman already putting his name in the hat for Lt Gov.
NC GOP politics never disappoint with who shows up to run.
So you’re saying (or at least implying) that coal power plant retirements that haven’t occurred yet because of a law that hasn’t been implemented yet is what caused the need for rolling blackouts?
Duke Energy has already started reducing coal production in North Carolina and presumably is not investing much in the plans that remain. Clearly the state's focus has been on green goals rather than low-cost, reliable power.
I still haven’t been able to find the evidence to support this claim. Obviously reliability is important, as are environmentalist goals. Can you perhaps share some links to documents that detail Duke’s reduction in coal-fired power production?

Not to nit pick but Jim O'Neil is from Forsyth Co not Guilford. I enjoy your newsletter Andrew. Keep up the good work
Silly error on my part. Thanks for catching and letting me know.
