Longleaf Politics

Republicans nearly aced this pro-family scorecard — except for one little issue

A new report from the N.C. Family Policy Council shows overwhelming GOP alignment, with a few dissenters on school cell-phone rules.

I love legislator rankings.

I keep meaning to do one for Longleaf Politics, but they take a lot of work to do them right and I just haven’t gotten around to it. I’d want my version to include bill sponsorships, contributions to the budget and other things they aren’t so easy to quantify. I’ll still do it, but that might be an end-of-year project. But I digress.

Earlier today, the N.C. Family Policy Council released its version of legislator scores for this long session. They identified 12 actions in the Senate and 17 votes in the House that they supported, and tracked which legislators voted for them.

You can see the report here. But to make things easier on you, I’ve inputted the data into a spreadsheet so you can sort it.
