My take on two fresh N.C. polls
We get our first real read on the U.S. Senate primary, plus a detailed look at where Berger–Page stands
I’ve written a lot about polls recently, but I can’t help myself. I’m doing it again.
Two hot, fresh polls just crossed my desk — one from the liberal activist group Carolina Forward, and the other from conservative media figure Marc Rotterman. Both seem legitimate, with all the usual caveats.
The Carolina Forward poll tests the U.S. Senate race, including the Republican primary, and then a hodgepodge of other questions like a generic legislative ballot, the Supreme Court race, ICE operations, etc.
The Rotterman survey, conducted by National Research Inc., is just focused on the primary race between Sen. Phil Berger and Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page.
My takeaways from the Carolina Forward poll
Carolina Forward is a pretty far-left outfit, but that doesn’t mean the numbers are junk. They post all the top lines and cross-tabs and all the rest, which I appreciate, and overall, they do a really good job. Their big findings:
